New Seoul Hotel Myeongdong

Location is excellent.

Towels were very old and not clean. No microwave. No windows in room.

Well the location is quite amazing, it seems to be in the heart of the city. Just walk a couple of meters in any direction and you end up finding basic necessities.

Honestly, the staff at the reception was quite rude. Whenever you ask them any query, I could see the pain and rudeness clearly in their tone which in my view, is indeed dis-heartening.Regarding breakfast for the first two days I was not allowed to take it on second floor(2F) which is where it usually is, sighting few guests. Sadly, when I had booked the property I was never informed about this else I would have gone ahead with an option which was "without breakfast" and this one came as a surprise to me. So essentially, I had to spent extra money to have my breakfast despite the fact that I had paid for it at the property for all days during my stay,And when on the third and fourth day when they opened up 2F for the breakfast, I could barely notice anyone around (breakfast timing is just between 7 AM - 9 AM), so why was I not allowed on the first two days when we had a similar situation,Additionally for breakfast I was just offered one bread and a cup of coffee! On asking for a reasonable reimbursement I was rudely declined. Can this be acceptable? Think about it..

It was pretty quiet compared to many other hotels throughout Korea we stayed in. Loved that there was no motion detector light in the entryway to blind you for the middle of the night bathroom trip. The staff was very attentive, kind and professional

It is located on a weird, little side street. From the main road you have to drag your bags down the 1 lane, 2-way alley that does not have sidewalks. Once you arrive at the main steps, the staff greets you and assists to bring in your bags.

Great location for a Seoul base. Close to transit and many restaurant options.

You have to go up about a dozen stairs to get to the lobby. But there is a man there to help you with your luggage.

Quiet and comfy, walking distance from Gyeongbokgung Palace

Very convenient location - near bus stops (including airport limousine bus), train station and tourist attractions.

Having stayed here several times I can say that the staff are extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with. Checking in and out is a breeze and hassle free. My room was comfortable, with enough space for a few days’ stay. The location is perfect for discovering downtown Seoul. And not far from the subway station at City Hall.

A few things in the room weren’t working as they ought to - but nothing major.

Location - almost anywhere in the Myeongdong area is walking distance, and the area was peaceful that it was alright to walk even late at night,Staff - hospitable and very helpful

I wish they had umbrellas for loan to their guests.

We booked 3 rooms, paid the same price for all the three rooms, yet one was bigger than the other two and that seemed a bit unfair. They had no other option either so I dont think we could have done anything about that

I feel like this hotel is located in the heart of Myeongdong and it makes our time super convenient. Our room was warm, a little bit small but clean and neat. I think it’s just the room type that we chose. The receptionists were also welcoming and nice. We got to leave our luggages on the day we check out and took it later because our flight was at night.

I think it is newly renovated. There are 2 elevators. The room in this hotel is a lot bigger. It's very clean and beds are comfortable. The air-condition in a hot summer is heavenly cold, it feels good. One of the best highlight of traveling to korea is staying in this hotel. I miss the ambiance already

The electricity socket on the bed side table is not a standard outlet. So you have to charge your phone on the TV monitor part

We stay at Hollywood room 1009. Spacious open type room, didn't have bad smell. Clean bathroom, however bathroom door is not closed properly, So the water is going through the door. AC is good. Close to 6701 bus stop to Incheon airport. If you are coming from Incheon airport to this hotel, just take bus 6701 and get off at the press center bus stop. The price for the bus is 18000 (Korea won).

I love that there was a cafe on the ground floor. The pastries, salads, and sandwiches were good. We did not have to go out to 711 to get breakfast. Nearby was city hall subway station, convenience stores, and a lot of restos to choose from! There was even an Olive Young nearby. Rooms were clean, and staff were friendly and helpful.

We were there during winter, so the heater in the room was up most of the time. Would have preferred the room to be nice and cool though, instead of warm. We had to open the windows to let the cool air in. But all in all, it was a wonderful stay.
